I believe that cliques in our school is a serious problem. Even walking into the cafeteria you can see the difference between different cliques. Most people would assume that it is just the popular people picking on anybody else, but many of the outsiders or nerds or any body who is not "popular" are making fun of people too. I can see this being a major problem at our school if this doesn't stop.
drugs are really bad to use because they can get you into serious trouble. studies show that drug users grades have dropped because of the drugs. if you do drugs it will change your life you will lose your friends, i had a friend that i grew up with, he was a good kid but then started hanging out with the wrong group and one thing leads to another and he lives at a detention center. he ended up steeling from the only friends he had to buy drugs.
Drugs and alcohol effect you in several ways. First way drugs and alcohol effect you is it can cause you to drop grades and lose your friends, when it becomes a main part of your life. Another reason that it affects you is you can get into serious trouble with your family life, and law enforcement. Last reason is it can put you into a bad situation, like driving while drunk and not making good decisions under the influence. These are some of several reasons why teenagers should not consume any alcohol or drugs.

It will change your life and you could maybe die from drink alcohol and doing drugs. I feel here at Prairie Gangs aren't really a big thing at Prairie. There is probably bullying around Prairie but over the years I feel its got way better. But bullying could happen anytime any day anywhere. I hope that over the next few years it will get better.(:

I don't think there is much physical school violence here at Prairie. Most of the violence comes from bully's and other students that are harassing others. Many other students treat each other like they want to be treated making their no problems of violence. Also, a lot of the violence at school is because of events that happen at home or with friends. Usually students will spread the news of violence which detours the violence because of the fear of getting in trouble.
Although I don't think that harassment and school violence is a very big problem at Prairie, we still need to be aware of what it is and we need to put a complete end to it because it is keeping us from having a substantial learning environment.

We have had a few kids that have died from these but people just keep doing it, they all think it cannot happen to them because they are careful when they are not. Many kids drink and drive, do stupid things while under the influence, and get in many fights if someone just looks at them the wrong way or says something to them.
I think that by having gangs it get's people worried if they should even come to school. Here at Prairie there are gangs that shouldn't even be here, this is a bully free zone which mean violence should be brought here for the safety of other students. School violence has also been a major problem in our society and generation. Many people just fight to fight when really there's always a way to solve each problem.

Prairie doesn't have a problem with gangs. In my whole time at prairie, I've only heard of one gang, and that didn't last long. Cliques do exist, but boundaries are not a problem at all. For example, many clubs and groups exist, and you can see a bunch of people only socializing with each other. However, since many people are in many clubs, and some people have different groups of friends, the barriers that cliques sometimes make are mostly knocked down.
You can tell each individual "clique" from another. Most people think we don't have that big of a problem here at Prairie, but they are actually just looking at it from their angle. The "lower" groups see the problems we have and the "higher" groups just blind side everything. I agree with Malia that the cliques aren't portrayed here like they are in movies, but we still have an issue with people being excluded and outcast.
The students who are being harassed are scared and they want the people to stop. Some of them have even stopped going to school. In my opinion you shouldn't be afraid for being different when you are only being yourself. The people who do harass students need to keep that in mind and stop.

Gangs are a problem that is usually affiliated with the distribution of drugs and/or weapons. That is not good for kids trying to focus on school work and being pressured to try things they know are bad for them.

In prairie high school we have almost all of the word. Some more than others.WE have cliques in our school and some people would do anything to be in a popular clique. I would say that sometimes the separation of cliques are sometimes a problem.
I don't find bullying as a big problem. I don't hear it or see it often, and when it does happen, it's always the same people. Maybe I am oblivious as an individual, but it's more likely that bullying is not a large issue at school.
I think that it is very clear that there are cliques in this school. There is not very much harassment here. Between all of the cliques, there is not very much harassment, if cliques dont get along, they mainly just ignore eachother and keep to themselves.
I really don't think we have a huge problem with school violence at Prairie because I have never heard or witnessed any problems. When there are fights, usually, they are petty and over after they happen. There are not long term conflicts and bullying usually is just exclusion from a group. This is because people think they're better then others or they're not comfortable with a new person.
Cliques are a group of people who share similar interests and are generally really good friends. Unfortunately, these cliques don't often associate with others outside their group. At Prairie, we have many cliques like the Band Kids, The Choir Kids, The Alternative Kids, The Popular kids etc. Just like the definition said, we don't often talk to or relate to the other cliques. We are generally fine with staying within our own group. Unfortunately this sometimes leads to exclusion of others.
I believe that cliques in our high school are very bad because they exclude people and a clique usually talks bad about others that are and aren't in that group.
